CIMA BA 4 - Fundamentals of Ethics, Corporate Governance and Business Law
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) comprehensively covers major topics of contribution through the fundamental of Ethics, Corporate Governance and Business Law Exam in BA-4. This main objective of the CIMA BA4 paper is to make students attentive and understand the professional standards one is expected to demonstrate as a Management accountant.
Students will learn that ethics is not just about knowing the rules of confidentiality, integrity and objectivity but also about identifying the ethical dilemmas, understanding its implications on the participants and behaving applicably. The CIMA BA4 Exam syllabus is divided into four main layers. The examination format is computer based and may be scheduled on demand in any of the 5000 Pearson VUE Centers .
The weightage provided to each section are as follows:
- 30% -Business Ethics and Conflicts
- 45% -Corporate Governance controls and corporate social responsibility
- 15% -General Principles of legal system, Contract and Employment Law
- 10% -Company Administration.
The higher the percentage, the more time is required to study that area. Preparation for this topic requires ability of students in comprehension followed by ability of application. Good preparation is key to passing the exam and you need a good study plan. One must be realistic about how much to cover, availability the time, set achievable targets and be committed and stick to your study plan.
